A quick yoga sequence that you can do at your desk in your office or at home to help reduce stress inside body and mind while also waking up and energising your body.
We cover a really amazing breathing techique that you can use any time throughout your day to help relax your body. It is the 4-7-8 method which is inhaling through your nose for a count of 4, holding the breath in for 7 and then exhaling through your mouth for a count of 8. Taking deep breaths in like this pushes our diaphragm down and stimulates our parasympathetic nervous system. This activates a relax, rest and restore response in our body and turns off the stress response that we find ourselves operating in as we address the demands of our day.
This practice is an all level sequence.
